Happy Friday

The lunch crew went to the Greek Festival for lunch and as we were walking across the parking lot someone asked when it was going to be summer–it has been damp and chilly here for days. One person said tomorrow it will be 80. Then another person said, I heard we’ll have snow next week. Then we laughed ourselves silly because, really, it could happen. Virginia has some freaky weather in the spring.

This afternoon the crazy phone guy finally showed up to switch phones around for people who moved offices over a month ago. The person on the other side of my wall has had to walk across the hall to answer her phone.

The crazy phone guy wandered around mumbling to himself that his work order wasn’t right and that he couldn’t find extension whatever, whatever, whatever. I got up and said this person moved here and this person moved downstairs. He asked me about number whatever, whatever and I told him I was sorry that I have no idea what number is whatever, whatever. Then, he groused about his work order again. I looked at the work order and it was a plain white sheet of paper with some scribbling on it. If that’s someone’s idea of a work order, then no wonder the guy was mumbling. Then the thing that made me nearly laugh right in his face was him telling us that if it isn’t right he’s not coming back.

Yup, this weather has sucked! I keep expecting my heat to turn on, and it’s June for goodness sakes!

It should be a weed fest this weekend when it finally warms up. Luckily the snow next week will kill them all…
