Full of It

Yesterday we were given official permission to wear whatever we want to work unless, of course, we have a meeting. This is because we’re moving later this month. Since the move was announced it has been vulture city around here. From the real estate people showing the building, to a nitwit former co-worker coming in to take furniture (yes, it’s a weird and long story), to the existing co-workers who traipse through and put their name on items, to the general shitstorm of crap flying about. I went home fighting what I thought was the sneezes because of all the dust.

Late last night I wanted to stab myself in the right cheek with an ice pick to release the whateverthefuck is stuck in my sinuses. I seriously believe that adults should never have to worry about a runny nose. Late last night when I was thinking about the ice pick, I decided to lay my head down on a tissue to catch the stream of crap coming out of my nose. It was disgusting. But, of course, now the crap is just stuck in my head and I can’t get it to come out. Helpful. When I’m trying to sleep the stuff dribbles out and keeps me awake, now that I’m upright the stuff can’t be coaxed out.

Maybe a neti pot would help? Certainly less scarring than an ice pick! I’m going to go get mine out of the cupboard now.

I know! I thought of that and I was out by a place that probably sells those today but the thought went right out of my head. I really need to get one of those and flush out the sinuses.

I really like the ceramic one I got at the local co-op, but I found one for Emily at Wal-Mart that’s plastic and came with 50 packets of salt, pre-measured so I didn’t have to buy her a box of salt and a measuring spoon. It’s helped her a lot since she can’t take any meds.
