Procrastinating as usual

I have a paper/presentation due on Monday about a famous economist who has a learning disability. My professor interviewed this person many years ago for a research project and now I’m going through old documentation and listening to interview tapes. The economist is interesting but I am unmotivated as usual. I should invent a product that kicks me in the ass whenever I shirk school work.

I also have to do two interviews and write up a paper (very short) and a presentation for Wednesday. I am going to interview the better-half and will talk to my supervisor on Monday.

In completely other news, the better-half has set up a drip watering system for the garden and it is a sight to behold with elbow bends, clamps, regular hose segments and soaker hose pieces. It does a nice job of getting to every plant in the garden so there’s hope yet that we’ll have four hungry children and a crop in the field in no time. If everything works out we should have the following to eat later this summer:
corn
green beans
tomatoes
peppers (hot and not)
squash
zucchini
eggplant
beets (not holding much hope for those)
watermelon
cantaloupe

In the future we’ll have strawberries and asparagus. Those plants need to build strength over the next year or so before we can harvest.
