I got an email reply to my Verizon “stop calling us” message and this is what it said:

Customer Service“We never stop working for you!”
Do you see the problem with this? I have to log into their website and then prove who I am (which I already did) and then spend a good 5 minutes typing in various and sundry pieces of information so that THEY WILL STOP BOTHERING ME. Seems like the whole process is bothering me.
The part that cracks me up and makes me laugh the bitter laugh is their tag line, “We never stop working for you” which really should be amended to say “We never stop working for you, you stupid consumer”.
Update:
We just got another Marketing call from Verizon using another phone number. The better-half asked if this call related to our request to the wireless website to stop calls. “Er, no”. That customer service rep said they’d take us off the list. Whatever. I looked at caller id for the call that just came in. 11 from that number in the past month. Verizon has called us 33 times in the last month. WTF?
