Take Off Your Makeup

I stumbled across a mighty, mighty fine music site dedicated to soul. You know, I love the soul. I’ve already ordered the Soul Sides CD and am anxiously waiting for it to arrive in my mailbox. Lots of the songs posted are from vinyl and I think that pop, crackle and hiss adds to the whole listening experience.

Currently enjoying:
Eddie Fisher-Jeremiah Pucket
Retta Young-You Beat Me To the Punch
Chuck Jackson-Take Off Your Makeup

I’m going to pass your entry on to my husband. He’s a music freak and I bet he’d love to hear some good Soul. He’s into all other sorts of music but hasn’t gotten into Soul yet. Thanks for the suggestions!

You mean you don’t have a turntable to play your own scratchy albums? Jim found some perfect condition albums leaned up against a recycling center bin a few weeks ago. He’s been spinning them pretty regularly since.

I don’t know what we will do when we need a new cartridge for the turntable.

We do have a turntable. It’s not hooked up right now. We’re actually thinking about getting a new one…Crutchfield’s sells them.
