If you can’t go to Florida then go to Home Depot twice…that’s what I always say. In addition to hanging out at Home Depot, we had dinner with The Niece and her parents at Moe’s. The Niece was crazy insane and placed our orders for us. Then she and I had a discussion about the $20 bill the better-half gave her to pay for our dinner. We went from Andrew Jackson to the fact that we need to take her to Washington, DC–there’s a zoo there, don’t you know. The Niece didn’t know that but she did tell me that we need to take her to DC sometime.
After dinner we went to the new Bruster’s for ice cream. I managed not to get purple ice cream in my hair which was remarkable since The Niece was sitting on my shoulders. She got down just before the heavy ice cream dripping started. Here’s a little “good to know” item…when a three year old is unhappy giving her a quarter will totally cheer her up. It pays to keep quarters or cookies on hand should the situation arise. Consider yourself advised.
