And the dog barks and the birds sing

This morning at 7:20am the phone rang. It was the woman who cuts our hair. She told us to come in a half hour later than our appointment. I didn’t even know the phone was ringing until the better-half got out of bed to look at caller-id. We joked with her when we got to the salon that we appreciated the wake-up call.

Newly shorn, we went over to Arts in the Park to see some, oddly enough, art. We’ve been many, many times over the years and have never purchased anything. This year I wanted to change that and change that trend we did. We bought a really cool piece from these folks. On the way home, I observed that once we put this piece up in the family room that everything on the walls in that room will be pieces of art done by an actual artist. We have a print by Eric Joyner and an original photograph from Wilton Tenney, who is a friend of the better-half.
