For most of the day I sat in a computer lab and talked about the software system that for years I trained and I now write curriculum about. Let me tell you, I feel like shit. There’s always one person in a crowd that you just don’t get a good vibe from. Twice now, I’ve gotten the same vibe from this person (only seen her twice) and each time the vibe has been the one where she oozes disdain. Maybe contempt. Either way, not a good vibe to get from someone.
The projects I’m working on have really short deadlines and prior to this day-long meeting, I thought things were going fine. Gee, when I’m wrong, I’m really wrong.
I can’t wait to go back to the office on Monday and sit down with the powers that be and explain what the team really wants is a step-by-step, keystroke-by-keystroke script. And, you guessed it, they needed it yesterday.
I think it is time to break out the booze and play with my Darth Tater.
See, that’s what you get for hanging out in a computer lab. Nothing but angst.
You really are a geek, as you alluded to in previous blogs. That’s OK, I am a science geek myself. Might have to go clone myself a Darth Tater. A spud with an attitude.
