Poorly Formed Opinions Are My Specialty

All the blah, blah about Martha getting out of prison has helped me solidify my opinion regarding her. I say if she has anything at all to do with making sure that we don’t slide into an avocado green-harvest gold-shag carpet-polyester plaid wearing society again, then I am on her side. I have lots of horror show pictures from elementary school to offer as irrefutable proof that we should not go back to that decorating and fashion unconscious time. Actually, I have remained a loyal MSL subscriber so really I just wanted to write avocado green and harvest gold in one post.

What’s up with the snark piling on Dan Rather? I don’t give a rat’s ass one way or another if he continues reading the news or not but come on…shaddup about him already.

Fat Actress has just debuted? I thought that show was on for months (again I find myself with my finger on the pulse). I caught Matt Lauer “interviewing” her months ago and then I saw a promo that he was doing it again one day this week. If, in fact, he was interviewing her again and they weren’t just rerunning the previous segment, I hope he chills with the questions about if being fat means she is unhappy. I’ve never really gotten how thin=happy and fat=unhappy. Also, I’ve taken a dislike to Matt. No real reason but I just don’t care for him. In fact, I think nearly everyone on Today has jumped the shark.

I start the new job tomorrow. I took paperwork by the office today and watched as the papers were copied and, hopefully, not lost to the wind like my last piece of paperwork. I also got my parking pass. It seems I’m ready to go. I got official word earlier this week that I had been “officially approved” by the powers that be. I wonder how they determined that it would be OK to add me as faculty…could it have been a quick check to see if I owed them money? Or could it have been the question regarding my political bent that I answered on Friday during my look-see? I can imagine after I left that my boss raced around the office praising me for voting for Kerry. She said the office wore black the day after the election. That cracked me up. And, no I’m not implying that my political views had a THING to do with my employment. Don’t go figuring out where I’m going to work and call out the hounds on them. My blog: my lame joke.
