Since it snowed like crazy for a couple of hours the roads are in horrible condition. That’s ok with me, though, because I am at home. The joys of working for yourself.
I’m using an old laptop from the office now at home in my very own room. Last night we got into the serious business of setting up the computers (yes, plural-we’re geeks) and this is the first time that I’ve had a room of my own since we got married. I acted all excited but then kind of sad and the better-half told me it would be ok that we’ll see each other. That struck me as hilarious since we’re like 10 feet from each other but we each have a door to shut should we need to have a little alone time.
My desk doesn’t overlook the road which is fine with me since I was constantly distracted by what was going on out there. I much prefer the view of the woods. Soon, I’ll set up the treadmill, buy some new sneakers and get walking. Oh how long the treadmill has sat lonely.
Speaking of buying shoes, I have tossed 3 or 4 pairs of shoes out in the past 2 weeks. I have no sneakers and my supply of casual shoes has dwindled to nearly nothing. As you may have guessed, shoes are what I wear because my feet would be cold without them–not because I love cute things between me and the ground. Please don’t take that to mean I’m one of those people who walk around barefoot all the time. Yeck. Imagine how dirty those feet are.
To cap off this really amazing entry, let me report that I did a little html coding from memory (with a few minor cheats) so that when I open Firefox my personal page comes up with all my favorite links. Some links are out there in the big wide world and some are right here on my laptop. I amaze myself sometimes.
