Transportation with Afterburners

Yesterday afternoon a friend of mine picked up a piece of furniture that we didn’t want or have room for in the new dining room. With the piece of furniture taking up so much room in her van, I got to transport her youngest son.

Since it was a warm day I had the moon roof open and I have yet to meet a kid who doesn’t love the roof being open. He asked me to roll down the back windows so he could enjoy as much wind as possible. As we drove towards the interstate he was pretty chatty telling me to kick in the afterburners. All of a sudden he was silent. I looked into the backseat and he was sound asleep.

Even though I was really tired last night when I got into bed, I wished for the ability to fall asleep like that. I could do without the whole slouching way over that kids do when they fall asleep in the backseat but the ability to fall asleep that quickly would be killer.
