Weekend Recap-hooray!
The Niece and her mama came over for dinner on Friday night. We made stuffed shells on Thursday night, let them soak up the sauce and flavors overnight in the refrigerator and heated them up for dinner on Friday. When asked if she liked the shells, the Niece replied, “They’re not my favorite”. So it goes.
Saturday we replaced the kitchen faucet. It took all day. Our hats are off to plumbers everywhere. What a pain in the arse.
We went to my sister’s house on Saturday night to carve pumpkins. The Niece was pretty excited that there was a party at her house. We used power tools to carve our pumpkins. The drill rocked.
Yesterday we repaired holes in the ceiling, made a trip to the landfill and watched the re-re-release of Star Wars IV: A New Hope on DVD. How many times has this movie been changed anyway? The opening segment still gets me every time though. I remember about wetting my pants in the theater. Man that was something. George Lucas should not be allowed to add any more cutsie stuff to his movies. What was up with all those rats during the Mos Eisley street scenes? Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
