Big Plans for the Weekend

On Monday if you took a peek at my calendar for the weekend, you would’ve told me to get a life. Today you may wonder how come I’m so busy.

Lots of extraordinary things are happening this weekend but the one that I’m currently most excited about is the fact that I’m getting my haircut on Saturday. Ever get to that point of having to get your haircut or you’ll grab the Flowbee and take care of it yourself (who even knew those things were still available)? I seriously could have hacked off my hair today with nail clippers but decided that one more day wasn’t that long to wait.

In addition to the haircut, we’re going by to see my grandmother. I talked to her today on the phone and she cracked me up. It should be a good visit.

Sunday we’re headed to the Green Valley Book Fair and then we’re going to see the Cowboy Junkies/Shawn Colvin show at Wolf Trap. The next best thing about that trip is we’ll get to go to some grocery/specialty food stores and buy all kinds of cool and unusual items. I’ll try to keep the idea of snapping a few pictures of the riotous hotel in my head for longer than fifteen seconds and pack the camera. I’ll post pictures next week, if my sieve-like brain keeps that idea. We really like staying at this place because it is close to Wolf Trap, cheap and makes us laugh. You’ll see why when I put up the pictures.

And, lest I forget, we’re going to the Mary Chapin Carpenter concert with our friend C. tonight. Cool.
